How to Wear a Crop Top and Tulle Skirt

Three of summer’s hottest trends can be summed up in the look I’ve curated today. Crop tops, tulle skirts, and espadrilles are all the rage right now, but women everywhere wonder how to wear them in a realistic, everyday way.

I’ve curated a look below that will take any girl from a day of shopping, to an al fresco happy hour, to dinner on the town. Sans kids. *wink*

How To Wear a Crop Top and Tulle Skirt This Summer

My two main inspirations were the crop top and the tulle skirt – items that I feel women (especially moms) neglect purchasing, for the following, albeit somewhat obvious, reasons:

For one, it can seem a bit daunting when you’re trying to figure out how to actually wear one of these skirts somewhere other than a formal event. We don’t normally wear them in our day-to-day wardrobes. (Oh, but we can!)

And secondly, a crop top can leave you feeling uncomfortable, fearing you’ll bare your midriff for all to see. No one wants that, especially after we have kids and our waistlines aren’t quite what they used to be.

But what better way to wear these two items than to pair them together!

A casual crop top is the perfect accompaniment to a tulle skirt, because it brings the look back to acceptable for daytime wear. And this type of skirt generally begins at the smallest part of your waist, so you won’t have to worry about your belly showing between your top and skirt.

Below, I’ve linked all exact items from the above curations, with the exception of the hat and tulle skirt. I’ve substituted a gorgeous and affordable white skirt below, as well as a hat from one of my favorite designers.

Happy shopping!
