From high to low, these are the best lipsticks for Fall.
Fall is a time of celebration. From Thanksgiving to the new trends for the season, it is one of the best times of the year. Fall trends in fashion and beauty are some of the most important, as they set you up with new, exciting things for the coming of the New Year.
On top of new fashion lines, new pieces, and seeing new art come to life on the runways, there is one more very important thing to pay attention to when it comes to Fall: lipstick.
Lipstick can be intimidating whether it’s the price or the color range, but that’s why I’m here! I’m going to be giving you some lipsticks that are my holy grail for Fall – and the best part is that I’m going to be giving you six lipsticks from all over the price range. From luxurious high-end names all the way to drug store brands, here are some amazing lipsticks for your daily Fall looks.
Luxe lip colors to try.
Number one on my list of high-end lipsticks is Estee Lauder’s Pure Color Love lipstick in the shade “Strapless”. This lipstick retails for about $22.50. It is a nude, but it has a berry undertone. It gives off this purple pinky nude when you look at it on the lips, and it makes your lips look so juicy. It goes on incredibly smoothly and gives such a buildable coverage that it’s perfect to just stick in your bag and use it as an everyday lipstick.
The best part about this lipstick is that it goes on feeling like a normal crème lipstick, but it does dry down without making your lips feel dry. The pigment will stay on your lips, but not stain your lips. It lasts all day with a beautiful finish.
Dance With Me
Number two on the high-end side is Mac Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolour in the shade “Dance With Me”. This lipstick retails for $22.00. It’s a vibrant, but wearable, shade of red.
It can be hard to find the perfect shade of red, because red lipsticks either have a very orange/pink undertone or a blue undertone. Blue undertones are typically found in the darker red shades, while the orange/pink undertones are found in the brighter reds. This lippie is the perfect mixture of both.
This is my go-to red lip for myself, as well as in my professional makeup kit. It’s always the first red I grab. The formula isn’t too over-drying; however, it is a matte liquid lipstick, so it can be very drying on someone with naturally dry skin.
Here’s a little tip: The first swipe from the applicator is jam-packed full of pigment so you don’t need to go over your lips multiple times to get the best coverage.
It lasts all day without needing to be retouched, and the best part is that it survives through meals as well! Make sure with any red lip you are exfoliating and moisturizing your lips ahead of time to get the best look possible.
Viva La Glam!
Number three is another Mac lipstick, but this is Mac Viva Glam II. This lipstick retails for $19.00. It is a creamy pink/mauve color, which is perfect for a more muted, pink look.
This one is creamy and easy to apply, and it’s also a satin finish – meaning, it doesn’t go on super shiny or super matte – it is the perfect combination. This, too, is a perfect shade to pop in your bag and use every day. I love pairing it with a pink gloss in the summertime and a beige gloss in the winter time. But for Fall, this is the perfect shade to wear on its own.
Drugstore lipsticks to pick up when you just want to grab a little something for yourself.
Mocha – it’s not just a coffee drink.
Number one on the drugstore side is Wet ‘n Wild Megalast Liquid Catsuit in the shade “Give Me Mocha”. This retails for $5.49. Let me tell you, this lipstick is by far one of my favorite lipsticks of all time, between all the high end and low end lipsticks I’ve tried.
Here’s why: Its formula is light on the lips and easy to apply. It stays on all day, and I never need to reapply. The applicator is actually curved in the shape of a lip so it hugs your lip as it glides and makes it effortless to put on. The best part is that this lipstick is buildable, but never gets thick and cake-y.
You could easily put one coat of this on and call it a day. Or you could put two to three coats on and have full-looking, beautiful lips. This is the best lipstick for enhancing the lips you already have.
Warm up your Fall.
Number two on the drugstore side is Maybelline’s Color Sensational The Creams, Cream Finish Lipstick Makeup in the shade “Warm Me Up”. This retails for $7.49. This lipstick is a brown/pink nude. It’s super creamy and moisturizing on the lips.
This is the shade for someone who wants to keep their daily nude, but just tweak it a little bit for Fall by adding a brown undertone. It truly does warm up the skin when it’s on the lips. It doesn’t wash you out, but actually brings out your natural color. I love this lipstick for something quick and good for every occasion.
Charmed, I’m sure.
Number three in drugstore lipsticks is Milani Amore Shine Liquid Lip Color in the shade “Charming”. This retails for $8.99. This lip color is very unique. It’s like a liquid lipstick meets a gloss. This one is rich with pigment and the formula is thick, but not thick on the lips.
This lip color is very wearable and easy to use. You do not need a lot for it to give you even coverage. What I like to do is take the applicator out of the tube and rub some of it off on the lip of the container – because like I said before, you definitely do not need a lot. It’s moisturizing on the lips and beautifully natural.
These lipsticks are all easy, wearable, and above all, stunning on anyone who wears them. They are perfect for daily wear during the Fall season. They add a little bit of oomph! to a beautiful Fall-inspired look. Add any one of these to your beauty routine and you are sure to turn heads!
I hope these lipsticks make you feel confident, sexy, unstoppable, strong, fierce, and make you glow! They have done these things for me, so I hope they can do them for you. See you next time, beautiful!
