It’s that time of year again, ladies! Time to figure out what to wear to all of our holiday parties and festivities! I don’t know about you, but this both delights me and stresses me out at the same time. Chances are, you’ll have more than one party to attend, so in the hopes of making life a little easier, I’ve come up with three holiday outfits using my favorite black bodysuit from stāBody as the base of the outfit – an all black outfit, a black and gold outfit, and a black and red plaid outfit.
I love a bodysuit, because I think they’re just so versatile. You can dress them down with jeans, or you can dress them up as I’m about to show you. The possibilities are almost endless.
And I’m so excited to let you know that staBody is giving my readers 20% off on their site using promo code LUXYMOM20, so get your bodysuits now, here!
One Black Bodysuit, Three Perfect Holiday Party Outfits
Gold and Black Sparkly Holiday Outfit
Black and gold makes such a striking color combination – especially when layering. Here, I’ve paired a gorgeous, sparkly statement necklace over the bodysuit and cardigan.
I love a slouchy sweater, and every retailer is selling these styles right now. They’re so versatile, but did you know you can dress them up?
Tucking a slouchy sweater like this one from H&M into a flared leather skirt gives such a put together, cool-girl effect. The silhouette is fun and flirty for a cocktail look. Finish off the outfit with black stiletto booties, a statement necklace, and a patterned clutch like this one!

All-Black Holiday Party Outfit – Tulle Skirt and Beaded Details
For a more formal holiday get-together, or even an outing to the theater or symphony (anyone going to see the Nutcracker or A Christmas Carol? Or the Vienna Boys Choir?), this is your perfect outfit. It makes such a beautiful statement, and yet isn’t over the top.
Tulle skirts are all the rage with fashionistas this time of year, because they’re just so feminine! If you truly want to have your Carrie moment, a la Sex in the City, now is the time of year to really go for it.
For this particular look, I paired the black bodysuit with a tulle midi skirt from Needle & Thread. I just adore this brand for it’s gorgeous beaded pieces. I added on a detailed black cardigan, fringed heels, beaded purse, and statement earrings to finish off the outfit. It’s just embellished enough to create a wow factor, and still understated enough to avoid being overkill.

Red and Black Holiday Party Outfit
The third outfit I’ve styled is one that can actually go from the office straight out for cocktails or dinner, and it’s just so festive for the holiday season! Red tartan plaid is quintessentially wintery, and I absolutely love how it’s done here on this blazer.
I’ve let the blazer be the standout piece, and paired it with a great pair of AG leatherette skinny leggings (that I personally own and can vouch for – their fit is amazing, and it’s an investment worth making).
I’ve also included a shoe with just a little bit of detail on the heel. While these Louboutins are obviously on the pricey side, I’m including a more affordable option as well, in the shoppable images below this picture. And I’ve finished off the look with a Rebecca Minkoff leather envelope clutch.
