Sweater Dresses are all the rage, and there’s good reason for this. They’re insanely versatile. You can wear them to work, or around the house with the kids; and you can wear them out for lunch, dinner, or cocktails. I’ve fallen in love with their ease. I feel so comfortable wearing sweater dresses around my house, and I’m just as comfortable wearing one to run errands or go out for cocktails with the girls or date night with the hubbs. Today, I’m showing you three ways you can style the same sweater dress this fall, so you can see for yourself just how easy it is.
Fellow moms, this is going to be your new wardrobe staple!
Here are the three ways I’m styling the same neutral sweater dress.
And this one is only $80, so if you can wear it multiple times, in multiple ways, you know what that does to your cost per wear! Basically, this sweater dress is a great buy.
First, I should start out by saying that this $80 River Island sweater dress is especially versatile because of its neutral color. This makes it so easy to style it a bunch of different ways, from casual to dressy. When I’m styling an outfit, I like base pieces that are really simple – either in cut or color – and this sweater dress fits both of those categories.
Once that’s accomplished, you can style this simple base outfit with any number of fun accessories.
Above, I styled this sweater dress with almost-matching color Diane Von Furstenberg suede booties, and I accessorized it with the best pastels of the season – soft pinks and greys – as seen in the Rebecca Minkoff Small Love crossbody bag, and the H&M scarf. This is such a great winter color palette, and I’ve been seeing it all over the place. Look around and you might see it now, too! I even included silver sunnies and crystal Kenneth Jay Lane earrings for a little wow factor. You can wear this day or night. Wear it to the school drop off line just as well as you wear it out for cocktails with the girls, or even out for dinner with the fam.
How many times are you out and about in your same old uniform? (And by the way, what IS your typical mom uniform?). The above sweater dress outfit is really a great look for running errands around town. I don’t know about you, but these days, I love a good, low-heeled boot for getting out and about. Sometimes I need to move fast, and comfort is key, especially if I have a kid on my hip.
I also love this brown and gold color palette. It’ll get you through any season, but it’s particularly nice this time of year. And the Chloe bag, gold earrings, and neutral sunnies are the perfect accessories. Not only do they look great with this outfit, but they’ll look great with just about any other outfit you put together! You can even add on a beautiful fall trench coat and infinity scarf when heading outdoors in cooler temps.
I think the style above might be my favorite. This is just so chic and will take your mom style to a whole new level. You guys, you can find all these items in SO many price points. All you need are black over the knee boots, like these Stuart Weitzmans, and a mid-size black cross-body handbag. Finish the outfit off with a great scarf, black sunglasses and some crystal earrings like these Kendra Scott Allie Statement Earrings, and voila! You are good to go. This is SO much better than wearing a t-shirt and jeans.
