This is what to do when your home could use a Spring refresh.
Spring cleaning is the ultimate way to send Winter on its way. It’s time to open up the windows, declutter the myriad of items you accumulated over the holidays, and get your home ready for a beautiful Spring season. We’re uncovering the top Spring decor trends to help you get your home ready for Spring in no time at all.

Comfy Luxe
With COVID19 pounding us from every angle this past year, we were obviously forced to shelter inside. And while this wasn’t ideal, it did have the upside of forcing us into rethinking the design of our living quarters.
We all want to feel comfortable in our homes. Our homes are our sanctuaries, after all. So a trend has been borne out of this past year, to create luxury where you live.
Having a home that looks luxurious doesn’t have to cost you a lot of money. As moms, we’re experts at perfecting the Target haul to find items that make our homes look amazing!
For a comfy luxe look to your home, think decor accessories. Mirrors, rugs, lamps, shelving, wall decor like hangings, paintings, or photos – these will all add a ton of punch and don’t have to break the bank.
Try retailers like Amazon, Target, HomeGoods, and Hobby Lobby for some really cute finds – and check out our Decor category on our Amazon shop.
Greenery Galore
Greenery is a sure-fire bet for Spring. Bring the outdoors indoors, and you’ll be right on trend. Plus, greenery will boost your mood. It’s alive, it’s bright, it’s happy.
Try some fun ways to display your greenery, like beautiful crochet hanging baskets, decorative planters, even vertical wall displays. Everything from a ficus tree to succulents and cactus will make a beautiful addition to accent your home and get you in a Spring mindset.
And for the kitchen, try an edible garden. Get some small pots and add herbs like rosemary, basil, and thyme – whichever ones that you’ll be able to use regularly in your cooking are best! You can even get some nice shelving to display your pots beautifully on a wall. Art, food, and greenery all in one. Magical!

Inside Out
Recent ways of life that include staying at home more have spawned a design trend to bring your comfy indoor living into your outdoor spaces. We all need fresh air, so even for those staying at home, it’s important to make your outdoor spaces feel just as hygge as your indoor spaces.
Did you know there’s actually a term for this? It’s a Danish word, freeluftsliv, which means “free air life.” It’s the art of embracing hygge in your outdoor quarters.
Our LUXYMOM® headquarters are in Naples, Florida, so it’s safe to say we’re experts at this. And prior to moving here, I lived in a condo in Chicago, in which I was also adept at decorating and using my third story patio to its fullest.
Some ways to make your outdoor spaces feel special are:
- Incorporating greenery and edible gardens or hanging planters;
- Bringing in outdoor furniture that’s been beautifully upholstered in weatherproof fabric;
- Placing outdoor rugs in stylish patterns;
- Utilizing stylish outdoor lighting;
- And for those living in single family homes, a fire pit is a great addition to bring the family together over s’mores or just relish in conversation
